BALTIMORE - The Loyola University Maryland swimming and diving teams will open its 2011-12 season this weekend, hosting George Mason and Navy at the Mangione Pool at the Fitness & Aquatics Center on Saturday. Events will begin at 11 a.m.
The three programs compete annually in a tri-meet, with last year's event taking place at George Mason. Last season, the Greyhounds defeated the Patriots, 194.5-103.5, while they lost to Navy, 159-133. Loyola's women lost to George Mason, 164-134, and Navy, 235-65.
This year, the Greyhounds' men will face both George Mason and Navy, while the women will host a dual meet with Navy.
