BALTIMORE - Loyola University Maryland sophomore-to-be Julian Brice will swim for his native Saint Lucia at next week's 14th FINA World Swimming & Diving Championships in Shanghai, China.

Brice competed for his nation at last summer's World Youth Olympics in Singapore and the FINA World Short-Course Swimming Championships in Dubai last December.

Brice will swim in two events, the 100- and 50-meter freestyles. He will hit the water in the 100 free first, starting on Wednesday, July 27, and follow that event with the 50 free on Friday, July 29.
