Baltimore, Md. - The 2005-06 Loyola College swimming and diving schedule has been released and once again features the MAAC Championship meet in mid-February. The Greyhounds, who have annually hosted the MAAC Championships since opening the Fitness and Aquatic Center in 2000, will swim eight of their 11 regular season meets at their home facility.
The year begins with a Green and Grey Meet on October 1 and officially gets started with a double-dual meet on the road. The `Hounds swim against Navy and George Washington on October 15 before returning home for five consecutive meets.
Head-to-head competition with Providence (Oct. 28) and an Alumni Meet (Oct. 29) precede a second double-dual meet with Georgetown and Fairfield on November 5. The annual Thomas Murphy Invitational and an H2ounds Invitational close out the calendar year at home.
The Greyhounds begin the New Year on the road at Rider before hosting Delaware on January 21. A short trip to Towson one week later and a home meet with MAAC foe Iona close out the regular season and prepare Loyola for its 2006 MAAC Championship run.
