Baltimore, Md. - Loyola freshman Phil Scholz will throw out the first pitch at Camden Yards on Monday night. The Greyhound swimmer, who earned a spot on the United States Paralympics Swim Team earlier this month, will be honored before the Baltimore Orioles game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Scholz is one of 38 swimmers who will compete at the Paralympic Games in Beijing, China this summer. He earned his spot on the team with a gold-medal performance at the U.S. Paralympic Trials, winning gold in all four of his events.

Scholz, who will also compete in a qualifying meet for more events later this spring, has already been assigned to swim in the 100 Free, 400 Free , 1500 Free and 100 Fly in China.

Monday's game between the Blue Jays and Orioles is slated for a 7:05 p.m. start. Tickets can be purchased through The Baltimore Orioles Website.

Scholz and the U.S. Paralympic Swim Team were also honored at a Minnesota Twins game earlier this season.
