Baltimore, Md. - Loyola College will host the MAAC Swimming & Diving Championships at the Mangione Aquatic Center from Thursday, February 12 to Saturday, February 14. The action will begin at 10 a.m. and fans can keep up with all championship information and results by visiting www.maacsports.com.
The Greyhounds enter the meet with high expectations, particularly the Loyola men, who finished the regular season undefeated in conference action, including a huge victory over the defending MAAC Champion, Marist, back in December at the H2Ounds Invitational. The women's team also took their first ever victory over the Red Foxes at the same meet, and finished the season with conference wins over Manhattan, Siena, Fairfield and Iona.
Last year, both the Greyhound men and women took third at the MAAC Championships, behind Marist and Rider. Since joining the conference in 1990, the women have won four league titles, including 1995, when both the men and women claimed MAAC supremacy.
The quest for another MAAC Championship will commence at 10 a.m. on February 12 with the preliminary heats of the 500 Free, 200 IM and 50 Free. Action from Mangione Aquatic Center will run from 10 a.m. to approximatley 8:30 p.m. View Complete Schedule.
