CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Loyola University Maryland freshman Margaret Garrahan has been named the Corvias Patriot League Female Diver of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday.
Senior Brianna Keelan was also included among the conferences honorable mention performances list, as the duo led the Greyhounds to a 194-98 win over Mount St. Mary's on Senior Day Friday.
Garrahan won the 3-meter diving event on Friday with a score of 211.95, while she finished second in the 1-meter boards with 192.60 points.
At Bucknell on Saturday, the East Sandwich, Massachusetts native finished 22nd in 3-meter diving with 192.05 points and 24th in 1-meter diving with 185.30 points.
Keelan was included among the honorable mentions after picking up three first-place finishes in the win over the Mount. She won the 100 breast (1:08.44) and 500 free (5:11.14) before teaming with senior classmates Erin Calderoni, Rachel Zucco and Brittany Bond to cap off the meet with a win in the 200 free relay (1:41.08).
This marks the second career weekly award for Garrahan as she also picked up the honor on January 19.
The Greyhounds will next head to Bucknell Wednesday, Feb. 18 through Saturday, Feb 21 for the 2015 Patriot League Championships.
