Baltimore, Md. - Senior diver Megan Sterback was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Diver of the Week after four wins on the boards this past weekend. Sterback led the Greyhounds to a conference win at Iona on Sunday after competing in her last regular season home event against Towson on Saturday.
In Saturday's meet against the Tigers, Sterback posted a score of 216.22 on the 1-meter board and registered a weekend-high 228.07 in the 3-meter competition to place first in each event.
Sterback returned then closed out the regular season at Iona with another impressive day on the boards, winning both the 1- and 3-meter events with scores of 217.05 and 224.70 respectively.
The MAAC Diver of the Week honor is Sterback's third this season. She also earned the distinction after Loyola's season-opening meet against Navy, George Washington and Catholic and also after a strong showing at the Thomas Murphy Invitational.
Sterback and the Greyhounds host the MAAC Swimming and Diving Championships at the Mangione Aquatic Center February 8-10.
