EDISON, N.J. - Loyola University Maryland senior Brad Reeser was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week today, the league office announced.
Reeser won three individual events and was on a victorious relay, as the Greyhounds defeated Towson , 165-123, on Saturday afternoon.
The senior anchored the winning 200-yard medley relay team, a foursome that swam a time of 1:35.61 to open the meet with a victory.
He then completed a sweep of the three individual sprint races. Reeser won the 50-yard freestyle (21.47), 100-yard freestyle (47.19) and 200-yard freestyle (1:43.16) for Loyola.
The award is Reeser's second of the season and fifth by a Loyola men's swimmer in 2009-2010.
Reeser and the Greyhounds are back in action this weekend with a 10 a.m. meet on Saturday, January 30, in Fairfield, Conn. Loyola will swim against MAAC foes Fairfield and Iona at the meet.
