Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola men's and women's swimming and diving teams return from their semester break to host Rider and Howard this Saturday at the Mangione Aquatic Center. The Greyhounds, who recorded 21 Top-5 times in the first semester, begin second-semester competition at 12 noon.
Saturday's meet is the first of the season's final four meets heading into the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships in early February. Loyola has already defeated Fairfield and Niagara this season and will meet another tough conference foe in Rider.
The Greyhounds competed in seven meets the first semester, compiling a 10-4 record on the men's side and an 11-6 record on the women's side. The semester culminated in an impressive performance at the H2Ounds Invitational, where the men's and women's teams posted 18 Top-5 times on the school's all-time performance list
Loyola's team just completed a week-long training trip to Florida and will swim two of its final four regular season meets at home and host the MAAC Championships once again.
