Women's Swimming Earns Sweep of Siena and Mount St. Mary's

Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola women's swimming and diving team earned a double dual meet sweep of Siena and Mount St. Mary's at the Mangione Aquatic Center on Saturday afternoon. The Greyhounds defeated The Mount, 104-29, while posting a 79-60 conference win over the Saints in the final race of the fall semester.

"This was a great way for the women to end the semester," said Head Coach Brian Loeffler after the meet. "Mount St Mary's and Siena gave us some great competition this afternoon."

Loyola freshman Caitlin Cassidy had another outstanding meet with three first-place finishes and another Top 5 time for the Greyhounds. Cassidy won the 200 Free and helped the 200 Medley Relay claim first in the meet victory. Cassidy' time of 1:57.67 in the 200 Free places her fifth on the school's all-time performance list.

On the boards, sophomore Alexandra Coletta won both the 1- and 3-meter competitions for Loyola, while in the pool, junior Tori Kamauff won the 500 Free in 5:12.77. Other individual winner for Loyola included Megan Shovlin in the 1000 Free (10:52.89) and Kim Krzaczek in the 200 Breast (2:32.14).

Loyola's 200 Medley Relay squad, consisting of Cassidy, Krzaczek, Melissa White and Megan Royer also highlighted the day with their victory in the event. The relay's time of 1:51.97 is also the second-fastest in program history.

The Greyhounds will train in Florida over the semester break and return to action on January 12 at MAAC foe Rider.
