ATHENS, Ga. - Loyola University Maryland sophomore Brennan Morris improved his NCAA 'B' Qualifying Standard in the 1,650-yard freestyle by almost two seconds on Sunday at the Bulldog Invitational, hosted by the University of Georgia.
Morris clocked a time of 15:17.69 in the event, improving his previous best of 15:19.39 from last weekend's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships.
On Saturday, Morris won his 400-yard individual medley race in 3:50.37, but did not improve his 'B' qualifying time.
Entering this weekend, Morris was ranked 23rd nationally in the 400 IM and 33rd in the 1,650 free.
Morris will find out this week if he will be one of the swimmers from around the nation to compete at the NCAA Championships.
