LEWISBURG, Pa. - In addition to two relays, 11 Greyhounds contributed to the team score for the Loyola University Maryland swimming and diving teams on the final day of the Patriot League Championships Saturday at Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium.
Loyola's men finished in sixth place with 196 points, while the women were eighth with 161 points. Navy won both the the men's race, with 915 points, and the women's race with 798 points. Army was second on the men's side with 642 points, and Boston University was with 536. For the women, Bucknell is second with 665 points and the Terriers are third with 489 points.
A quartet of Greyhounds scored in the 1650 free, two on both the men's and women's sides. Kalie Coyne and Courtney Kenyon started the day with 12th and 16th place finishes, respectively. Coyne touched in 17:27.24, followed by Kenyon in 17:35.69.
Erin Calderoni, Brianna Keelan and Madison Hardimon all scored in the 100 free. Calderoni took 12th with a time of 52.03 and was followed to the finish by Keelan, who finished 15th in 52.35. Hardimon touched 11th in 45.96 for the men.
In the 200 breast, Cara Egan was 15th with a time of 2:23.51 and Maddie Myers was 16th in the 200 fly (2:08.08).
The Greyhounds' 400 free relay teams closed out the day with Tara Mulligan, Liz McKenna, Keelan and Calderoni teaming for an eighth place finish and a time of 3:30.09, while the men's squad of Rich Mueller, Ruslan Kopunek, Chris Cary and Hardimon took seventh in 3:06.01.
