LEWISBURG, Pa. - Behind a trio of divers advancing to the finals of the 3-meter competition on the first day of the 2015 Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championships at Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium, the Greyhound men have accumulated 78 points to sit in fifth place, while the women are 10th with 24 points.
Junior Ryan Conley led the Greyhounds with a sixth-place finish in three-meter diving, recording a score of 258.00. Sophomore Noel Theroux also advanced to the `A' final of the diving event and finished just behind Conley, in seventh, with a score of 253.00. Freshman Sam Baluzy qualified for the `B' finals and took 12th overall with a score of 209.95.
In relay events, Loyola recorded three seventh-place finishes, with Zeke Wolfgang, Dale Maholage, Rich Mueller and Ruslan Kopunek teaming for a time of 1:32.47 in the 200 medley relay. In the 800 free relay, Brianna Keelan, Jenna Egan, Maddie Myers and Erin Calderoni posted a time of 7:34.31 for the women and Aidan O'Hara, Andrew Mann, Chris Cary and Madison Hardimon finished in 6:52.72 for the men.
The Greyhounds will return to the pool Thursday for the first full day of competition. The first session will begin at 10:30, with the afternoon session starting at 6 p.m.
