Swimming And Diving Takes Third At MAAC Championships

Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola men's and women's swimming and diving teams finished third overall at the 2007 MAAC Swimming and Diving Championships, while Head Coach Brian Loeffler was named men's Coach of the Year.

Marist claimed the men's and women's team titles as Jamie Falco was named Most Outstanding Female Swimmer. Rider's Brandon Modrov earned Most Outstanding Male Swimmer honors as the Broncs finished second in both men's and women's competition.

Among Loyola's top efforts on Day Three included a second-place finish from senior Ryan Reeser in the 200-yard butterfly. Reeser swam a time of 1:53.61 in the event. Freshman Melissa White placed third in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:09.77.

The Loyola women finished the three-day meet with a team score of 637 while the men posted a point total of 574.50.
