Women's Swimming Falls To Delaware

Newark, DE - Loyola's men's swimming and diving team defeated Delaware by a score of 132-107 while the Greyhound women fell to the Blue Hens by a score of 162-81 on Saturday afternoon at the Delaware Aquatics Center.

The meet ran according to schedule despite blizzard-like conditions on the East Coast and the Greyhound men celebrated the snow with their first win over the Blue Hens in program history.

Marko Turcinov and Ryan Reeser led the way for Loyola as they posted three wins apiece. Turcinov took the 200 Free (1:44.72), the 200 IM (1:58.67). and the 200 Fly (1:57.92).

Reeser followed the senior's lead with a trifecta of his own as he won the 50 Free in a time of 21.05, the 100 Free in a time of 47.70, and the 500 Free in a time of 4:53.37.

Doug Alban and James Harris picked up wins for Loyola as Alban grabbed the 200 Back in a time of 2:01.01 and Harris snatched the 200 Breast with his time of 2:18.11. The Greyhounds 400 Medley Relay team of Alban, Nick Wooters, Jonathan Sheffield, and Tim Hoover won as did the 400 Free Relay of Drew Crampton, Paul Ebert, Patrick Hicks, and Hoover.

Lisa Davey won the women's 200 Fly with a time of 2:13.76 as Megan Sterback chalked up another 3-meter diving win for the Grehounds with her score of 202.20.
