Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola men's and women's swimming and diving teams split their Saturday afternoon bout with Rider with the men earning a 176-124 victory and the women falling by a 169.5-130.5 score.
The relay team also had a number of individual wins in Saturday's meet. McQuaid took first place in the 100 and 200 back, while Fralinger was first in the 200 breaststroke with a 2:11.32 time. Torres took the top spots in both the 100 and 200 fly.
Sophomore Jacob Drannan had success in his events, with a first place finish in the 200 free at 1:42.54. Drannan swam a 4:40.50 in the 500 free followed by freshman Patrick Mukri in second at 4:49.09.
In women's competition, the Greyhounds swept the 100 breaststroke event with sophomore Kim Krzaczek, freshmen Courtney Trivino and Carissa McStay taking the top three spots. Krzaczek finished the 200 in second place and swam a 2:27.86. Trivino took third in that same event with a time of 2:29.48.
The Greyhounds continue action next Saturday when they host Towson and the James Madison women at 1:00 p.m.
