Swimming And Diving Returns From Long Break With Loss At Rider

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. - Despite a strong performance by senior Jayme Adams, the Greyhound women's swimming and diving team returned from a lengthy break from competition with a 150-93 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference loss to Rider University on Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Greyhound men's team dropped a 163-68 decision to the Broncs at the Coppola Pool.

Adams finished first in the 100 free with a time of :54.98 while taking a second place finish in the 50 free with a mark of :25.60. Junior Megan Sterback earned first place in the three-meter diving event with a score of 200.32 while finishing second in the one-meter event with a mark of 192.82.

Junior Nori Skoda turned in a time of 2:38.17 in the 200 breaststroke to earn second place while also helping the 400 medley relay team finish second with a time of 4:16.12.

Junior Ryan Reeser led the men's team by finishing second in the 200 free with a time of 1:44.21 and in the 500 free with a mark of 4:47.19. He also swam the anchor leg of the Greyhounds' 400 free relay team, which completed the race with a second-place time of 3:17.53.

The Greyhounds return to action next Saturday against the University of Delaware at the Mangione Aquatic Center beginning at 1:00 p.m.
