CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Loyola University Maryland women’s rower Natasha Murray was named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team, as released by the League office Friday.
Murray, a rising junior, is a mechanical engineering major from Boxford, Massachusetts. Carrying a 3.846 cumulative grade-point average, Murray was this year’s team captain and the recipient of the team’s top performer award at the athletics’ awards banquet earlier this month.
Murray guided the varsity eight boat to a third-place finish in the “B” finals at the Patriot League Championship. She also helped the varsity eight crew record its fastest time of the season at the Occoquan Sprints, coming across the finish line in 6:32.44.
To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in her sport. Freshman or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
