FAIRFAX STATION, Va. - The Loyola University Maryland rowing team took to the water in Fairfax Station, Va., for the Head of the Occoquan Regatta on Saturday. The Greyhounds made an impressive showing, including strong results from several novices making their collegiate debuts.

"I think we're real proud of the way the way the varsity boats came to race today," said Head Coach Al Ramirez. "I'm glad the novices got a taste or racing and that they could leave the day with a positive feeling. We're excited to see where we can take these novices next week."

The Greyhounds enjoyed one of their best finishes in the Women's Novice Four with a sixth-place finish out of 26 entries.
