PHILADELPHIA - After finishing first in the qualifying heat Friday morning, the Loyola University Maryland men's pair returned to the Schuylkill River to compete in the final races of the Dad Vail Championships Saturday afternoon.
Craig Spicer and Robert Moore started the morning racing in the second heat of the men's pair semifinals. The duo took first and qualified for the Bob Negaard Cup championship race with a time of 7:04.17.
A few hours later, the Greyhounds finished sixth in their final championship race of the event with a time of 7:23.95.
Loyola returns to action Friday at the Patriot League Championships in Cherry Hill, N.J.
