CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland junior Natasha Murray was named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team for the second year in a row, honor her accomplishments in the classroom and on the water.
Murray, who carries a 3.814 grade-point average as a mechanical engineering major, became Loyola’s first Academic All-Patriot League honoree for women’s rowing following the 2016 season, and she duplicated the award this year.
The native of Boxford, Massachusetts, rowed in the strong seat of the Greyhounds’ varsity eight boat this spring, helping Loyola to a third-place finish in the petite final of the Patriot League Championships.
A two-year team captain, Murray also led Loyola to a gold-medal finish in the Grand Final at the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Championships last month.
Murray was induced to the Chi Alpha Sigma and Omicron Delta Kappa honor societies earlier this month, and she is a two-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. This summer, she will complete an internship with AECOM in the Washington, D.C., area working with government projects.
