Teddi Burns Promoted to Associate Athletic Director at Loyola

BALTIMORE (July 25) --Loyola College Director of Athletics Joe Boylan announced today that Teddi Burns has been promoted to Associate Director of Athletics at the College.

Burns, a 1986 Loyola graduate, is now in her 18th year as a staff member in the Department of Athletics. For the past eight years, she served as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Facilities & Operations, overseeing the daily operations of the department including such duties as game management and facility scheduling. She also oversees Loyola's equipment room functions and is responsible for other adminstrative duties within the Department of Athletics.

Prior to her promotion to Assistant Director of Athletics in 1995, Burns was Loyola's Athletics Facilities Manager for nine seasons (1986-1995).

A native of Pennsauken, N.J., Burns (formerly Teddi Willis) was a field hockey and lacrosse player for the Greyhounds as an undergraduate. She earned a bachelor's degree in sociology in 1986 and a master's degree in counseling from Loyola in 1990.

Burns and her husband Judd live in Elkridge and have two children--six-year-old daughter Cassidy and one-year-old son C.J.
