Baltimore, Md. - Ticket sales for the 2004 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships, co-hosted by Loyola College on May 29-31 at M & T Bank Stadium have set a new NCAA mark for the month of March. For the first time in the event's history, 14,000 tickets have already been sold for college lacrosse's biggest weekend.
As the close of February draws near, 14,300 all-session tickets had been sold, which is 2,500 more than last year at this time. Seating for the Memorial Day weekend college lacrosse championships will once again be limited to 32,000 seats in the stadium's lower level and 8,200 luxury seats in the Club Level.
"Last year was a great year for the NCAA Championships and lacrosse in general as record crowds turned out," says tournament director Marty Schwartz. "We are excited about the increase in sales and expect that M & T Bank Stadium will be sold out for this year's games."
The championships commence on Saturday, May 29 with the Division I Semifinals. The Division II and Division III titles will be decided on Sunday, May 30. The Division I National Championship game will be played on Monday, May 31.
Ticket packages include all three days and all five games of championship play. All-session Club Level tickets are $60.00 each. Lower level all-session tickets are $40.00 each. Parking passes are also available for $25.00 each. Tickets will be mailed out April 5.
