Attendance Record Set At Lacrosse Championships

Baltimore, Md. - Saturday's Division I Men's Lacrosse National Semfinals drew a record crowd of 52,004 fans at M&T Bank in Baltimore, Md. Loyola College is one of four schools to play host to this year's championship weekend, which continues on Sunday with the Division II and Division III Championship Games and concludes with the Division I Championship on Monday.

Baltimore last hosted the lacrosse championships in 2004 and set an attendance record with 43,898 fans. Philadelphia set a record last year with 47,062 fans at Lincoln Financial Field.

Saturday's winners included Johns Hopkins over Delaware (8-3) and Duke in a thriller of Cornell (12-11). Monday's Division I Championship Game (Johns Hopkins versus Duke) will begin at 1 p.m.
