HAMILTON, N.Y. – The U.S. Naval Academy swept Loyola University Maryland on Friday in the Patriot League Quarterfinals, 4-0, as the Greyhounds' 2022-23 season came to an end.
Luke Garner and Sasha Panyan beat
George Cavo and
Nick Lawliss, 6-1, at No. 1 doubles, and Finn Garner and Nathan Nguyen were 6-1 winners against
Oliver Davey and
Harry Zeiders at No. 2, as Navy earned the doubles point.
Herrick Legaspi scored a 6-0, 6-1 victory against
Ryan Boland at No. 4 singles, and Garner downed Lawliss, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 3 for the Midshipmen. Gavin Segraves then closed the match with a 6-4, 6-0 win against Davey at No. 2.
