Lewisburg, Pa. -

The Loyola track & field team competed at the Ninth Annual Gulden Relays, hosted by Bucknell University at the Gerhard Fieldhouse in Lewisburg, Pa. Saturday afternoon. Although no team scores were kept, several Greyhounds turned in notable performances.

Kim Amaducci recorded the best individual placing for Loyola with a second-place performance in the high jump at 1.55m (5'1"). The jump was just two inches off her own school record that she set at the Princeton Invitational in the 2008-09 season.

Freshman Whitney Gibbs placed fifth in the 60m dash, clocking in a 8.04. Gibbs also was a member of a pair of relay teams (4x200 and Sprint Relay) that finished fourth on the day.

Freshmen Samantha Westley and Lauryn Granara, as well as sophomore Kristina Krupa led off the 4x200, before Gibbs ran the anchor, crossing the finish line in 1:52.18.

Krupa and Gibbs ran the middle legs of the sprint relay and they were preceded and succeeded by freshmen Megan Trainer and Margaret Larkin, to finish in 4:41.95.

Senior Colleen Kinealy also ran in her first regular season competition, placing fourth in the Mile in 5:26.70.

Next weekend, Saturday, January 16, Loyola will compete at the Maryland Invitational in Landover.
