Therese "Teddi" Burns was named Associate Director of Athletics in 2003 after serving eight seasons as Loyola's Assistant Director of Athletics for Facilities and Operations.
Burns, Loyola's Senior Woman Administrator, has been a member of the Loyola athletic staff since 1986. She currently oversees the daily operations of the athletic department, including scheduling and game management. Burns is also the sport administrator for Loyola's women's basketball, women's lacrosse, women's soccer and women's volleyball teams.
A native of Pennsauken, N.J., Burns graduated from Loyola College in 1986 with a degree in sociology. She played both field hockey and lacrosse as an undergraduate and earned her master's of education in counseling from Loyola in 1990. Beginning with the 2008 Championship, Burns has been a member of the NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Committee, a post she will hold through 2011.
Burns and her husband Judd live in Elkridge, Md., and have two children -- daughter Cassidy and son C.J.
