Ryan Eigenbrode joined the Loyola University Maryland Athletic Department in August 2007 and has been a member of the Greyhounds' Athletic Communications Office. He began his tenure at Loyola as the Associate Director of Athletic Communications before being named the office's Director in May 2011. He moved into his current role as Assistant Athletics Director in June 2013.
His coordinates the media relations, website content and other publicity needs of the Loyola athletic department. Over the course of his first two years as Director of Athletic Communications, the Greyhounds' video and social media viewerships saw increases of more than 200-percent.
Eigenbrode is the main athletic communications contact for Loyola's men's basketball and men's lacrosse teams, and he also is an administrator for the men's basketball program.
Prior to working at Loyola, Eigenbrode was Associate Director of Athletics and Sports Information Director at neighboring College of Notre Dame of Maryland.
Before moving to Maryland, he served as Assistant General Manager of the Tucson Sidewinders, then the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. He also worked with the minor league player development of the Diamondbacks organization. Eigenbrode also spent time working for Major Leauge Baseball and the Arizona Fall League, and he worked in the athletic media relations office at his alma mater, the University of Arizona.
A native of Tucson, Ariz., Eigenbrode lives in the Baltimore area with his wife, Jill, and his son, Michael.
