Amanda McClure comes to Loyola after serving the University of Virginia as an assistant director of media relations from 2008-2011. She was the primary media contact for the Cavaliers' women's lacrosse, volleyball and track and field/cross country programs.
Prior to her work at Virginia, McClure worked at fellow Atlantic Coast Conference school Virginia Tech as an athletic communications intern for two years. There, she represented the Hokies' women's lacrosse and volleyball teams and was the secondary contact for the women's basketball program.
At Loyola, McClure will be the primary contact for the Greyhounds' men's soccer, swimming and diving, women's lacrosse and men's golf teams. A two-sport student-athlete in college, McClure helped LeMoyne College win the 2003 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse title as an affiliate member.
She was a four-year starter at libero for the Dolphins' volleyball team and set the school's all-time digs record. McClure earned her bachelor of arts in mathematics from LeMoyne, a fellow Jesuit institution, in May 2006.
