Dave Gerrity is a Loyola graduate, a former student-athlete at the Charles Street school, a member of the Sellinger School of Business Marketing faculty, an administrator and a current parent of a Loyola student.
Gerrity has been the Associate Athletic Director of Athletics since 2007 after spending the previous eight as Assistant Athletic Director. He joined Loyola as the athletic business manager in 1989 and has been both a coach and administrator at Evergreen.
Currently, Gerrity works as the sport supervisor for men's lacrosse, men's golf, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's swimming and diving. He also manages the athletic department's human resources program and works closely with University Student Development to integrate student-athletes into the university's student development programming. He works closely with the Career Center to assist graduating student-athletes in their career search. He also manages the Loyola Greyhounds Leadership Academy and the various guest speakers that address life skill issues to the student-athletes.
A native of Camp Springs, Md., Gerrity was a four-year letter winner for the men's soccer program at Loyola and a member of the first team to each a post-season bid in the NCAA with men's soccer in 1986. He earned his bachelor's degree in Writing/Media Arts in 1987 and received his MBA from Loyola in December 1998.
As a coach, Gerrity led the Loyola women's soccer program from its inception in 1992 until 1997. Over the course of six seasons, he guided the Greyhounds to a 71-37-12 overall record, including two MAAC Championships in 1994 and 1996. On two occasions, Gerrity received the conference's Coach of the Year award.
He and his wife, Nina, a philosophy professor at Loyola, reside in the Stoneleigh area of Baltimore, with their sons, Andrew (a current student at Loyola) and Egan, and daughters, Mackenzie and Riley.
