Chris Archacki, a longtime Loyola University Maryland employee, joined the Department of Athletics as the Director of Athletic Business Operations in August 2011 and was promoted to his current role as Assistant Director of Athletics in June 2013.
Archacki begins his role in athletics after spending the last 14 years in Loyola's Department of Recreational Sports.
In the athletic department, he oversees the budget of Loyola's 18 varsity sports and associated support areas. Archacki will oversee all financial compliance reporting and adherence to budget standards of the University, the Patriot League and the NCAA. Archacki has worked with campus administrators to manage the strategic financial plan for capital projects within the athletic department. He is also involved with many school-wide initiatives and is the sport supervisor for rowing at Loyola.
"Throughout his years at Loyola, Chris has demonstrated managerial expertise, strong fiscal and budgetary management skills, strategic thinking and reflective leadership skills," Paquette said at the time of his hiring. "He has earned the respect of colleagues in all areas of the University by demonstrating a strong commitment to our university mission, essential problem-solving skills and a student-centered philosophy."
A graduate of Providence College, Archacki joined Loyola in July 1997 and was involved in the planning and opening of the Fitness & Aquatic Center at the school in 2000. As the Associate Director of Recreational Sports, Archacki has managed his department's budget and provided leadership to many other areas.
In addition to his bachelor's degree, Archacki holds a Master of Science in Sport Organization from Miami University, and he is currently pursuing a Master of Business in Management from the Loyola Sellinger School of Business.
Archacki and his wife, Valerie, live in the Baltimore area with their three sons, Ben, Will and Daniel.
